Conformity statements - Decision rules

At the customer's request, a conformity statement can be made for test results. In order to be able to make this statement, a decision rule is required which describes how the measurement uncertainty is taken into account.

If the decision criteria are neither given in the standard/specification nor by the customer, the decision rule of the fem is applied:

Shared Risk
The assessment is made without considering the measurement uncertainty.

  • Passed: All values are within or on the required limits
  • Failed: At least one value is outside the required limits
